Privacy Protection Notice
The Sierra mutual funds (the Funds) respect your right to privacy and your expectation that all non-public, personal information will be maintained in a secure manner. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, security and integrity of the current, prospective and prior fund shareholders. This Privacy Protection Notice describes the policies that govern protection of your privacy, how non-public personal information is obtained, the very limited ways in which that information may be shared in servicing your account and how your information is kept secure.
Privacy Protection Policy
As a matter of policy, the Funds do not disclose, sell, rent or trade any non-public personal information provided by shareholders or gathered by the Funds to any non-affiliated third parties, except as required or permitted by law, or as necessary for such third parties to perform their service agreements with respect to the Funds.
Third party services may include preparing and mailing prospectuses, reports, account statements, or other notices, conducting research, marketing or other related activities. These companies are permitted to use any non-public personal information solely for the specific purpose for which they are contracted or as otherwise permitted by law.
The Funds may disclose or report personal or account information to a non-affiliated third party in those instances in which the Funds believe that disclosure is required under law or to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities.
The Funds may disclose shareholder non-public personal information at the shareholder’s request or with the shareholder’s consent.
Information the Funds Receive
The Funds may receive non-public personal information about shareholders so that we can provide appropriate investment services. This information may be obtained from sources such as account applications or other account related forms, from written, electronic or verbal communications, from shareholder transactions, from a shareholder’s brokerage firm, financial advisor or his/her financial advisory firm and/or information gathered on applicable websites.
Protection of Personal Information
The Funds have instituted physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect shareholder personal information. Policies and procedures have been established which restrict access to personal information to a “need to know” basis for performing account services or shareholder communications.
